In the backdrop of Mayfair, the event at Paul Smith Albemarle Street was a celebration of fashion, interior design and art seamlessly coming together in a multicoloured splash.
Introducing his latest interior product lines, Paul Smith unveiled a collection of lifestyle accessories designed to impart the designer's retro flair into our homes. The newly released cushions, showcasing different interpretations of his signature stripe, are meticulously crafted using traditional techniques and an environmentally conscious recycled filler: Re:Down®.
The showroom was filled with the luscious scent of the first ever candles and diffusers by the British fashion designer. Each two-tone vessel is filled with a scent inspired by Paul’s most cherished memories and is designed to be reusable, reflecting a further commitment to sustainability and waste reduction.
Joining up the dots between design and art, Paul Smith’s close friend Dale Chihuly’s showcased an exclusive exhibition at the store. To mark London’s 2022 Frieze Fair, the display features a selection of 10 glass sculptures, and 10 fine art prints, all hand-picked by Paul Smith to complement the interiors.

Smith and Chihuly’s friendship started with a common interest in colour and collecting curiosities:
“Dale’s work feels effortless, but it’s not at all, it’s massively labour-intensive and really thought-through” Paul explains. “That’s similar with a Paul Smith suit, because the effort has gone into what is on the inside and not just the outside.”
Seeing the display of Paul Smith furniture set amongst Chihuly’s nature-inspired glass sculptures and prints, the synergy between the artist and designer is certainly apparent. Colour, creativity and the eclectic shines through.
